RULES, CHARGES AND ACCESSORIAL SERVICES

MINIMUM CHARGE-CUBIC CAPACITY & DENSITY

  DEFINITION - Any shipment that occupies 750 cubic feet or more and has  
  an average density of less than 6 pounds per cubic foot will be subject  
  to the minimum charge as provided herein.    
   
  When two or more shipments from one shipper, at one origin address,  
  destined to one or more consignees at the same destination delivery  
  address, during one calendar day, that if combined would be 750 cubic  
  feet or more and have a density of less than 6 pounds per cubic foot  
  then the aggregate shipments will be combined as one shipment on one  
  bill of lading, and will be subject to the minimum charge as provided  
  in this item. 
   
  DENSITY - Except as described below, the density will be determined in  
  accordance with NMF 100 series, Item 110, Sections 8(a) and 8(b).   
   
  When shipping units are as described below, cubic feet will be determined
  by using a minimum height of 96 inches. 
   
     a) If tendered units cannot be stacked upon each other in the trailer 
   
     b) Pallets, skids or cartons banded or shrink wrapped into a single  
        unit which are "pyramided, or rounded", or, 
   
     c) units which have an irregular shape on top (e.g. machines, etc.). 
   
     d) units which are marked with instructions that no other freight is to
        be loaded on top. 
   
  MILEAGE - Miles will be determined according to mileage in HGCB 105
  series, except shipments from or to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico
  will be subject to mileage according to HGCB 100 series. 
   
  NON APPLICATION - The provisions of NMF 100 series, item 171 (bumping) 
  will not apply.   
   
  The provisions of this item are not applicable on shipments: 
   
     a) Subject to capacity load item 390. 
     b) Exclusive Use of Vehicle Service. 
     c) TL rates and charges per vehicle or trailer. 
     d) Subject to the greater of Actual or Dimensional weight. 
     e) Sealed Divider Service. 
   
  REQUIREMENT - When this item has applications, the carrier's freight bill 
  will indicate the total cubic feet upon which the minimum shipment charge
  will be accessed. 
   
  MINIMUM CHARGE CALCULATION - Shipments subject to the rate per mile or
  minimum charge in this item will NOT be subject to any discounts other
  than those shown in this item.  Refer to the following table to determine
  the appropriate discount off the rates in Table 1 & Table 2.

  For shipments originating from or destined to Mexico, the table above only
  applies to the US portion of the move at the point of border crossing. 
   
  NOTE 1 - Shipments subject to reconsignment (RCNC): That portion of the
           freight charges from the reconsignment point to the final
           destination will be subject to the rate per mile, subject to a
           Minimum Charge of $363.00.  If the otherwise applicable charge
           produces a higher charge the provisions of this item will NOT
           apply.   
   
  NOTE 2 - Shipments subject to reconsignment (RCNC):  That portion of the
           freight charges from the reconsignment point to the final
           destination will be subject to the rate per mile, subject to a
           Minimum Charge of $562.00.  If the otherwise applicable charge
           produces a higher charge the provisions of this item will NOT
           apply. 
   
  NOTE 3 - A minimum charge of $3,955 per pup will apply on shipments to or
           from area 16 (NT, NU, YT). 
   
  NOTE 4 - A minimum charge of $6,473 per set will apply on shipments to or
           from area 16 (NT, NU, YT).
